- Take everything out of the box.
- Remove the display shade from the base and discard it.
- Pull the red battery tab on the bottom of the base and then turn the power switch to "on."
- Remove a scented shade from its package and unfold it.
- Place the shade onto the base to turn the light on. Simply lift it off to turn the light off. When left on, the light will flicker for about four hours and then turn off automatically.
- Replace your shade in about a week.
